Chinese Oolong tea is a partially fermented giving it an appeal to both the black tea and the green tea lovers.
Best brewed after the tea leaves have been washed (see how to brew tea article for details) then steeped for 3 to 4 minutes to obtain a tea light yellow coloured infusion.
Does it contain caffeine? Yes. The tea plant (Camellia sinensis) naturally contains caffeine, although where it’s grown, the age of the tea leaves when picked, the length of brewing time, and the methods of fermentation or drying of the tea leaves will contribute to varying levels of caffeine.
